Mr. Josh Long – Principal

Mr. Josh Long serves as the proud Principal of Delphi Community High School, where he is dedicated to creating a positive, student-centered learning environment built on relationships, growth, and opportunity. With years of experience in educational leadership, Mr. Long brings a passion for helping every student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Before becoming principal at Delphi Community High School, Mr. Long led Delphi Community Middle School, where he established a culture of safety, engagement, and togetherness. His leadership emphasized collaboration, communication, and innovation—values he continues to uphold at the high school. He has implemented data-driven academic initiatives, developed learning labs through the MTSS program, and strengthened the overall school environment with a focus on belonging and pride.

Mr. Long’s educational philosophy centers on academic excellence, social-emotional learning, and a culture of respect and collaboration. He believes in empowering both students and staff through trust, high expectations, and shared leadership. His approach can be summarized through four core values that define Delphi’s culture: Positivity, Growth Mindset, Strengths, and Team.

Under his leadership, Delphi Community High School continues to grow as a place where students are encouraged to lead, learn, and contribute to their community. Mr. Long is deeply invested in connecting the school with the broader Delphi community—partnering with local businesses and organizations to create opportunities for students while promoting school pride and Oracle spirit.

Outside of school, Mr. Long enjoys spending time with his family, supporting local events, and celebrating all things Delphi. His motto, “Work Hard, Play Hard,” reflects his belief that dedication and joy go hand-in-hand in building a successful, thriving school.
